Abstract

In September 2019 Muara Bungo City experienced a deflation of 0.44 percent. The calendar year inflation rate is 3.11 percent and year on year inflation is 4.35 percent.

Deflation in Muara Bungo City occurred due to a decrease in the price index in one expenditure group, namely: the Foodstuffs group by 2.20 percent. While five other expenditure groups experienced inflation, namely: Clothing by 0.66 percent; Health Group 0.31 percent; Transportation, Communication and Financial Services Group 0.31; Housing, Water, Electricity, Gas and Fuel Group by 0.09 percent; and the Education, Recreation and Sports Group by 0.02 percent. For the Food, Beverages, Cigarettes and Tobacco Groups there was no change in the index.
