Abstract

In January 2020 Muara Bungo experienced inflation of 0.74 percent with the Consumer Price Index (CPI) of Muara Bungo City at 104.30. Inflation in Muara Bungo City occurred in most goods and services expenditure groups due to an increase in the Consumer Price Index. The calendar year inflation rate is 0.74 percent and the year-on-year inflation rate is 2.76 percent. Of the 24 cities in Sumatra that calculate CPI, all experienced inflation. The highest inflation occurred in Meulaboh, by 1.44 percent and the lowest occurred in Lhokseumawe, by 0.08 percent. Of the 90 cities that calculate CPI in Indonesia, 79 cities experienced inflation and eleven other cities experienced deflation. The highest and lowest inflation occurred in Meulaboh, and the lowest occurred in Gorontalo by 0.03 percent. While the highest deflation occurred in Bau-Bau, amounting to 1.39 percent and the lowest in Kudus, amounting to 0.01 percent.
